2024 Legacy Dinner

Our first in-person dinner after the pandemic was truly a night to remember. On June 8, over 150 people turned out to UAW Local 600 to celebrate our successes, honor our heroes past and present, and raise money for our mission. We honored the incredible TAHRIR Coalition, Detroit Eviction Defense, and law students Trenten Ingell, Eman Naga, and Madison Murdoch. Then we paid tribute to our own Bill Goodman—with a lot of laughter, and some tears. The night was rounded out by Honorable Rashida Tlaib’s moving tribute to her friend Bill and to all the Honorees.

Thank you so much to everyone who donated, bought ads, volunteered, provided professional services, and otherwise made this night such a success. In particular, we appreciate UAW Local 600 and Daymon J. Hartley. Daymon donated his time and talents as the event photographer and also displayed his photojournalism work from campus protests and from Palestine during the first Intifada. We are also so grateful to Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib for her time, leadership, and inspiring words.

Do not miss the two videos featuring Bill, and the ad tributes below from our wonderful sponsors!

Photographer Daymon J. Hartley: “These photos represent what I see and experience through the lens of my camera. They are not always the most flattering but are never meant to embarrass or humiliate. As a photojournalist I attempt to capture the mood and the moments. Please feel free to use them for non-commercial use. Share them, tag them, and caption them if you like.”

Thank you to all our 2024 donors and ad sponsors!
We appreciate you!
